Moving forward in recovery-oriented systems of care
Ohio’s 2017 Behavioral Health Conference is coming up soon and we wanted to share some information about the event with you. The conference is taking place on January 10-11 at the Hyatt Regency in Columbus, Ohio. The theme for this year’s conference is “Moving Forward in Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care.” Below is more detailed information from the Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities.
The Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities, in partnership with the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, is hosting Ohio’s 2017 Behavioral Health Conference: Moving Forward in Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care. This is a two day event that will provide an opportunity for behavioral health professionals from throughout Ohio the chance to gain education on issues related to mental health and addiction. Ohio’s 2017 Behavioral Health Conference will focus on mental illness, kids, trauma, prevention, addiction, medication management, and more! The event aims to advance the knowledge and resources for behavioral health stakeholders to adequately serve Ohioans with a mental illness and/or addiction. The goals of this conference are to:
- Present the issues of the behavioral health care system and tools for change.
- Provide examples of best practices for professionals, clients, and families to take back to their communities.
- Offer recommendations to enhance education so that professionals develop knowledge necessary for their current work.
