Twitter chats: getting others involved on the social platform by asking questions and engaging with other people’s answers. Twitter chats are a great way to educate and involve other individuals and businesses on Twitter. It is a group of people coming together and providing their thoughts and advice on the topic that the host chooses. Usually the host will use a consistent hashtag in order for people to follow along and see all of the questions and answers.
Ascent is excited to get in on the fun by hosting our first Twitter chat next Wednesday, August 31st at 8pm EST. Our first topic will be “How Stigma Affects Recovery.” This is an important issue in the addiction and mental health recovery world, so we look forward to addressing it and getting other people’s takes.
We plan on hosting these twitter chats every Wednesday at 8pm EST and using the hashtag #AscentChat. Every week will be a different topic, but they will all pertain to addiction and/or mental health recovery in some way or another. Next week’s #AscentChat relates to our most recent blog post about the stigma associated with addiction and mental illness. We cannot wait to start the chat and get feedback and opinions from others. Feel free to invite your friends and share on any and all social platforms. The more participants, the better.
If you have any questions before, during or after the chat, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or find us on Twitter. You can also learn more about Ascent at our website. We hope you will join us next week.
