Ascent’s presentation at the 2016 Ohio Recovery Conference
Ohio’s 2016 Recovery Conference is quickly approaching. This conference will take place on June 1-2, 2016 and offer education to individuals in recovery and their family members throughout Ohio. This year’s hosts are the Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities and the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. As a company deeply involved with addiction recovery and mental health, Ascent is honored to be attending and presenting at this important conference. Our founder Brian Bailys and our Director of Business Development Jody Morgan will be representing Ascent at the conference. There will be panels throughout the two days discussing various addiction recovery and mental health topics. Ascent’s panel will take place on the second day and relate to how technology supports recovery.
What: Utilizing Technology to Support Recovery (a panel about the Ascent solution and how it improves recovery methods)
When: June 2, 2016 from 11:10 – 12:10am ET
Where: Hyatt Regency – Columbus, Ohio
Why: to educate people in attendance on how technology is being used to provide peer support. This session will provide an overview of how peer support is offered through a mobile app and via phone by trained peer supporters.
We are excited to lead this panel and present information about how technology is being utilized to support recovery methods. The Ascent solution connects people in recovery to peer-recovery coaches with lived experience, straight from their phones. It’s recovery support whenever the client needs it, 24/7/365.
We will also have a table there that will be staffed by Peer Recovery Coaches and Supervisors. If you are attending the conference, make sure to check the bags you receive at registration for a special gift from Ascent and listen for the gift basket being raffled off by us. Finally, if you want to schedule a one-on-one meeting at the conference with Ascent, you can email email@example.com to set it up. This is going to be a truly informational and transformative conference that we are excited to learn from while also teaching others. It will offer training on topics such as advocacy, empowerment, job skills development and employment readiness; peer support and services; community involvement; cultural competency; self-care; wellness; and more. We hope to see you there.
